STORAGE
Store the eggplant in a plastic bag or other airtight container ON THE COUNTER. Use within 3 days. Storing in the fridge can cause cold damage to the eggplant.
Tomatoes should be stored on the counter.
Watermelon should be stored in the fridge along with all other items.
THIS IS WEEK “B” for bi-weekly members
A note on tomatoes… We are sending out tomatoes that are generally a bit under-ripe because they are less likely to damage in transit to you. They will continue to ripen once you get them home. Please leave them out on your counter on a plate or platter until they are a deep red color. At that point, eat them right away! Storing tomatoes in the fridge is a no-no as it takes away their flavor.
This is the final planting of the year for the zucchini and summer squash. This planting is not as prolific, so enjoy them while you can!
And the watermelons we’ve all been waiting for are finally here!
